This month, we were honored to welcome Major General (Ret.) Shanna M. Woyak to the Life365 Advisory Team. Her experience leading complex military healthcare operations, overseeing large-scale technology modernization, and guiding care delivery across the Military Health System brings an important perspective to our work. As Life365 continues to support federal health, Veterans, and mission-driven healthcare programs, her leadership will help strengthen our strategy and partnerships.

We were also proud to serve as a Platinum Sponsor of the 52nd Annual Arizona Rural Health Conference in Flagstaff. The conversations with healthcare leaders reinforced the need for practical virtual care models that can improve access, close care gaps, and support long-term sustainability for rural communities.

At the policy level, we are also seeing the Rural Health Transformation Program begin moving from planning into implementation. As states and providers identify priorities, technology-enabled care, remote monitoring, and interoperability will be critical to building stronger rural health infrastructure.

Through CloudCare, our AI orchestration platform, Life365 is helping connect data, devices, digital health solutions, and care teams to support the shift from reactive care to proactive engagement.

Thank you for your continued support.

Life365 Attends the 52nd Annual

Arizona Rural Health Conference

Donna Rural Health Conference

Life365 was proud to serve as a Platinum Sponsor of the 52nd Annual Arizona Rural Health Conference in Flagstaff, Arizona. Our CEO, Kent Dicks, and Clinical Director, Donna Zazworsky, RN, MS, FAAN, had the opportunity to connect with rural healthcare leaders, partners, and friends from across the state to discuss new ways to expand access to care, strengthen operational sustainability, and advance virtual care delivery in rural communities.

Donna also led a breakout session, “Maximizing Rural Health Revenue and Care Delivery through Remote Patient Monitoring,” sharing practical strategies for using RPM and virtual care programs to improve patient outcomes, close care gaps, and support long-term financial sustainability.

We are grateful for the conversations, connections, and continued collaboration with so many dedicated leaders working to improve care across rural Arizona.

Bipartisan Chronic Care Management Co-Pay Removal Bill

The Chronic Care Management Improvement Act of 2026 (H.R. 8261) was introduced on April 14, 2026, by Representatives Suzan DelBene (D-WA) and Mike Kelly (R-PA) to expand access to Medicare Chronic Care Management (CCM) services. The bill would remove the current 20% beneficiary cost-sharing requirement for CCM, which supporters say has limited adoption and created confusion for patients receiving care coordination services between visits.

CCM is designed to support Medicare beneficiaries, yet utilization remains low among eligible seniors. By waiving patient cost-sharing, the legislation aims to reduce financial barriers, increase participation, and support more proactive chronic disease management. The bill is backed by a coalition of more than 40 healthcare organizations, including the American Hospital Association, American Medical Group Association, and Association of American Medical Colleges, and has been referred to the House Committees on Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means for further consideration.

CMS: Updates to Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Booklet

CMS released a revised MLN booklet outlining telehealth and remote patient monitoring updates from the CY 2026 Physician Fee Schedule and related guidance. The updated resource includes new links and clarifications on permanent provider location flexibilities, teaching physician virtual presence, and changes to CPT codes and the Medicare telehealth services list. Several of these updates reflect key advocacy priorities advanced by the Alliance, supporting.

CMS launches new Office of Health Technology and Products

CMS announced a new Office of Health Technology and Products in June 2026 to lead work around health technology, interoperability, digital products, and modernization across Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and other CMS programs. This is a strong policy item because it shows CMS is putting more formal structure behind digital health, data exchange, and tech-enabled care delivery.

Fierce Healthcare - 500M records exchanged through TEFCA, federal health IT office boasts

Fierce Healthcare reported that nearly 500 million health records have now been exchanged through the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA™), a major increase from roughly 10 million records in January 2025. The rapid growth reflects expanding participation in the national interoperability framework, including adoption by major EHR vendors and large provider networks. Epic has reported more than 1,000 hospital customers and 22,000 clinics are now live on TEFCA, with more than 2,000 hospital customers and 50,000 clinics either live or preparing to go live.

Tech Target - Virtual Healthcare – Getting ready for the AI era of virtual healthcare

As AI becomes more embedded in virtual healthcare, experts say provider organizations need clear governance, training, vendor selection, and data infrastructure strategies to support safe and effective adoption. The article highlights the importance of human oversight, especially for clinical decision support and higher-risk use cases, while noting that AI tools are more likely to gain trust when they improve workflows without replacing the patient-provider relationship. For virtual care leaders, the next phase of AI adoption will depend on balancing innovation with transparency, accountability, and strong operational guardrails.

Healthcare Finance - Physicians embrace AI as patients remain wary beyond scheduling

A recent American Medical Association report found that more than 80% of physicians are now using AI tools in their professional work, with adoption more than doubling since 2023. While physicians are increasingly using AI to support documentation, research summaries, charting, and patient communications, patient comfort remains lower for higher-stakes uses such as diagnosis, billing, and clinical decision-making. The findings suggest healthcare organizations may see stronger AI adoption by focusing first on administrative efficiencies while maintaining clear human oversight, transparency, and trust.

JAMA Cardiology - Home blood pressure monitoring engagement remains low, even with support

A recent JAMA Cardiology cohort study found that patient engagement with home blood pressure monitoring remains a challenge, even when patients are provided free devices, education, and personalized support. Among 3,390 patients with uncontrolled hypertension enrolled in a remote BP management program, 32.7% recorded no BP readings, and nearly half did not meet the program’s minimum measurement threshold. The findings highlight a real-world gap between guideline-recommended monitoring and patient participation, reinforcing the need for virtual care solutions that are easier to access, less burdensome to use, and better designed around patients’ technical capabilities - especially when Bluetooth or Wi-Fi setup may create barriers to engagement.
